I would dysfunction the download tab and also add a deviantART watermark on this one...it is so beautiful that it endeavours one to ravish it since it is too rich for use, for earth too dear!
When nature is captured at its total splendour, one can only congratulate the Artist that accomplishes this, and enjoy the beauty.
The sun plays so sweetly on the petals; the colourful centre of this flower glows as a jewel.
Not too much sharpness has been added here and this allows for the edges of the petals to loom with strength, still giving the softness at the beginning of the petals the chance to marry it's faint colour.
It looks like a marigold, I could be wrong, but if I am not, I would like to end this with a quote from Shakespeare; even if this is not a marigold, I think the following sums up all the above I have offered:
"The marigold that goes to bed with the sun, and with him rises, weeping." Winter's Tale 4.4.103-6 Perdita to Camillo and Polixenes in disguise
This photo on first view blew me away. It seems almost like taken in another world, where the light is softer, the white brighter and the smell sweeter. The macro flower up front is so very, very inviting that I feel I want to spread my wings, stretch out my legs and softly land in its petaled welcomeness. If I could suck for honey - in this flower I would. As for technical aspects, the background is rather dark green, specled with the surrounding plants and flowerheads, which adds an optimal frame for the white, yellow-egged beauty. The angle that the photo was shot from enhances the feeling of fantasy and surreality. Fantastic vision, cupidly original, intuitive technique, which really works here, and impact: glorious!
